Privacy Policy

RepSmart (“RepSmart”, “the app”, “I”, “me”, or “my”) is a fitness and workout tracking application developed and operated by an independent developer in the United Kingdom.

I respect your privacy and aim to collect only the information necessary to provide and maintain RepSmart. Questions can be sent to support@repsmart.app.

1. Information RepSmart Collects

Account Information

When you create a RepSmart account, information associated with your account may include your email address, a unique account identifier, and authentication or account-security information. RepSmart uses Firebase Authentication, provided by Google, to manage account registration, authentication and account security. RepSmart does not have access to your password in readable form.

Workout and Fitness Information

When you use RepSmart, you may choose to provide exercises, workout templates, sets, repetitions, weights lifted, workout dates and history, workout duration, bodyweight entries, and other information you enter as part of tracking your training.

This information is used to provide workout tracking, history, progress and related functionality. Some information is stored locally on your device and account data may also be stored using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore so that it can be associated with your RepSmart account and restored or synchronised where supported.

Purchase and Subscription Information

RepSmart may offer paid features through Apple’s In-App Purchase system, including subscriptions, trials and one-time purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. RepSmart does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account details. RepSmart may receive information from Apple’s StoreKit system necessary to determine whether you have access to paid features.

2. How Your Information Is Used

RepSmart does not sell your personal information, does not use workout or bodyweight information for targeted advertising, and does not use your information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

Where UK data-protection law applies, personal data may be processed on the bases of performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent where specifically requested.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

Google Firebase

RepSmart uses Firebase Authentication for account creation, sign-in and account security, and Cloud Firestore for cloud storage and synchronisation of RepSmart account data.

Apple

Apple provides App Store distribution and StoreKit/In-App Purchase functionality. Apple processes purchases under its own terms and privacy practices. RepSmart receives only the information necessary from StoreKit to provide and determine access to purchased functionality.

5. International Data Transfers

Some service providers used by RepSmart operate infrastructure outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law are relied upon through the relevant service-provider arrangements.

6. Local Device Storage

RepSmart stores certain information locally on your device to provide app functionality and improve reliability. Account-owned local data is separated using the unique identifier associated with the signed-in RepSmart account. Signing into a different RepSmart account does not give that account access to another RepSmart account’s locally stored workout, template or bodyweight information.

7. Data Retention

Personal information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide RepSmart and maintain your account, unless a longer period is required for legal, security or legitimate business purposes. Workout, template and bodyweight information associated with your RepSmart account is generally retained while your account remains active.

8. Account and Data Deletion

RepSmart provides an in-app option to permanently delete your account. When account deletion is successfully completed, RepSmart deletes the account’s associated cloud workout data, saved templates, bodyweight information and Firebase Authentication account.

Deleting your RepSmart account does not necessarily cancel an active Apple App Store subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple and may need to be cancelled separately through your Apple account.

9. Your Data-Protection Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to be informed, access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, request restriction of processing, object to certain processing, request data portability, withdraw consent where applicable, and complain to a supervisory authority. UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

10. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information processed through RepSmart. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your RepSmart login credentials secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

RepSmart is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where doing so would require parental consent under applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information in such circumstances, contact support.

12. Automated Decision-Making

RepSmart does not currently use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated when RepSmart’s features, service providers or data practices change. The current version will remain available at repsmart.app/privacy.
